Drager Carbon Monoxide 5/a-P (2;5-150 ppm) Aerotest Tube
The Drager Carbon Monoxide 5/a-P Aerotest Tube helps measure CO levels in air systems. It can detect 5 to 150 ppm of CO, making it useful for many tasks. You can use it with Drager’s Aerotest 5000 and Aerotest Alpha devices.
To test, you need 1 L of air at 0.2 L/min flow rate. This takes about 5 minutes. The tube is quite accurate, with only a 10-15% error rate.
When CO is present, the tube changes colour from white to brownish-green. This makes it easy to see the results. The tube works best between 0 to 40°C and with up to 50 mg H2O/L humidity.
Remember, this tube is only for testing air that isn’t under pressure. It works by mixing CO with iodine pentoxide and sulfuric acid. This creates iodine and carbon dioxide.
