Dräger PEX 3000

The Dräger PEX 3000 is a fixed gas transmitter designed to detect flammable gases and vapours at concentrations below their Lower Explosive Limit (LEL). Using catalytic bead sensor technology, it delivers rapid and reliable detection, helping to reduce the risk of explosions in industrial environments.

The PEX 3000 offers two measurement ranges—0 to 100% LEL and 0 to 10% LEL—allowing flexibility depending on your application. It is equipped with a catalytic bead sensor that reacts to gas within seconds. The transmitter includes a user-friendly two-button interface and a seven-segment digital display, enabling straightforward maintenance and calibration directly on the device, even in hazardous areas. The system is certified for use in explosion-prone environments, complying with EU Directive 2014/34/EU.

The PEX 3000 can operate reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to +65°C. This wide range ensures suitability for use in both extreme cold and high-heat industrial settings.

Installation of the PEX 3000 requires the transmitter to be mounted vertically with the sensor facing downward. It should be placed in an area close to potential gas leak sources, away from excessive vibrations or temperature fluctuations. At least 30 cm of space should be allowed below the device for maintenance access. All wiring in hazardous areas must be completed by qualified personnel in accordance with applicable safety standards.
