C.Scope SGV4 Signal Generator

Designed for use with a CXL4 or DXL4 cable avoidance tool, this C.Scope SGV4 signal generator enables the user to safely detect underground cables and piping.

Its simultaneous 33kHz and 131kHz signal output is perfect for detecting buried services, preventing any hazardous cable strikes when excavating.

The dual frequency signal can be applied without direct connection, using either a signal clamp or induction method.

All operation is by push button control as follows:

  • On/Off
  • Power Level: 4 available power levels via Increase and Decrease Power buttons
  • Pulse/Continuous Output: toggles between pulse or continuous output using one push button
  • Audio Output: toggles between loud, muted and silent audio output using one push button

Audio Indications

  • Audio Feedback on button push
  • Audio pitch drops with increasing load current in Connected Mode
  • Audio pitch changes with power level in Induced Mode
  • Audio output pulses to indicate Pulsed Mode
  • Low battery indicated by interrupted Audio and output signal
