R23 Gas Detectors
R23, or Trifluoromethane, is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant primarily used in ultra-low temperature refrigeration applications. Its chemical formula is CHF₃, and it is a colourless, non-flammable gas under standard conditions.
R23 has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0), but it has a very high global warming potential (GWP ≈ 14,800), which is one of the highest among common refrigerants.
