R407C is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant widely used as a replacement for R22 in air conditioning and heat pump systems. It is a of R32 (23%), R125 (25%), and R134a (52%), similar to R407A but with slightly different proportions, giving it different performance characteristics. Like R407A, R407C has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0), making it an environmentally friendlier alternative to R22.

However, it does have a relatively high Global Warming Potential (GWP ≈ 1774), which is something to consider for long-term sustainability.
