R408A Gas Detectors
R408A is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant blend developed primarily as a drop-in replacement for R12 in older refrigeration systems. It is a blend of R125, R143a, and R134a, and is designed to provide similar pressure and cooling characteristics to R12, allowing it to be used in existing systems with minimal modifications.
Like most modern HFCs, R408A has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0), making it environmentally friendlier than the CFCs it replaces.
