New and improved for 2023 the Globestock SAVER retractable fall arrester with integrated emergency rescue mechanism has been extensively upgraded inside and out.
The savers Internal parts have been redesigned to improve performance and comply with the latest and most stringent ANSI/ASSP & EN 360 standards:
- A synthetic rope option that is up to 70% stronger than the previous steel wire lines.
- The new Globestock Saver is 2.5kg lighter than previous models.
- An improved abrasion-resistant coating that prolongs the lifespan of the rope.
- All terminations are professionally spliced, whipped, and coated to ensure long-term quality.
The SAVER is certified to the latest EN / ANSI / CSA / UKCA standards and features a recovery winch with an anti-run brake, shock-absorbing brake mechanism, and an approximate retrieval speed of 3m per minute. The stopping distance is 0.6m to 1m and the snap-hook karabiner has a fall indicator.
The SAVER is designed for use with appropriate, certified anchorages and harnesses in confined space applications. It is made from heat-treated aluminium castings that are robust and durable, capable of withstanding the harshest conditions and rough treatment.
The rope is secured with a secondary backup feature to ensure full protection even at the rope termination.
The anchorage connection point has been redesigned to allow off-the-shelf snap hooks or carabiners. The lifeline’s shock absorber spring has been replaced with a more durable rubber stopper with less recoil upon impact and performs better in corrosive environments. The ferrules at the snap hook end of the rope have been heat-shrunk for improved handling.
These modifications have enabled the Globestock SAVER to meet or exceed the demanding requirements of multiple standards, including ANSI/ASSP Z359.14-2021, CSA Z259.2.2-2017, AS-NZS1891.3-2020, EN1496:2006 Class B and EN 360 (2022).
