Designed to deliver rapid and reliable fire detection, it uses a dual ultraviolet and infrared sensing technology to identify the unique radiation signature produced by hydrogen flames. By combining fast response with advanced false alarm immunity, the FL500-H2 provides dependable protection in high-risk industrial applications.

The MSA FL500-H2 UV/IR Flame Detector features a wide 125° conical field of view, allowing for broad area coverage and reduced detector count. Its robust 316 stainless steel, powder-coated housing provides excellent resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for harsh and hazardous locations. Compact in design yet durable in construction, the detector measures 114 mm in diameter and 140 mm in length, with a solid 4.0 kg build for long-term reliability.
