The FL5000 MSIR Flame Detector is a high-performance flame detection solution designed to extend detection range while significantly reducing the risk of false alarms. Using advanced multi-spectrum infrared (MSIR) sensing combined with intelligent Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technology, the FL5000 accurately distinguishes real flame events from common non-fire radiation sources. The MSA FL5000 MSIR Flame Detector delivers fast, reliable detection, long-term performance, and simplified commissioning and diagnostics, all backed by a five-year warranty.
The FL5000 MSIR represents the next generation of flame detection, delivering enhanced performance with the ability to detect fires at distances of up to 310 ft (95 m). Advanced neural network technology improves false alarm discrimination by accurately filtering out non-fire sources, while built-in Bluetooth connectivity allows fast configuration and diagnostics via the Flame Connect app. Performance is independently verified using 22 FM-approved test fuel sources, and existing FL4000H or FlameGard 5 MSIR units can be easily upgraded for backward compatibility. Continuous Optical Path Integrity Self-Checking (COPM) ensures ongoing reliability, with automatic self-tests every two minutes, and safe, realistic testing can be carried out anytime using the TL105 Test Lamp.
