Atexxo Manufacturing has made the Apple ATEX iPhone 12 suitable for use in hazardous locations.
These explosion-proof iPhones are originally manufactured by Apple, then converted and certified according to the ATEX directives by Atexxo.
This makes the mobile phones suited for safe use in gas/vapor Zone 2 hazardous locations.
ATEX Zone 2 is the European equivalent for US, NEC Class 1 Division 2 equipment. (C1D2)
Atexxo achieves ATEX / EX compliance by extensively modifying the casing combined with an intrinsically safe electrical circuit, making the smartphones suitable for safe use in hazardous locations.
All features of the original product are preserved, including the face scanner.
The ATEX iPhone 12 comes with a durable black case finish and is available for the iPhone 12 with 64GB, 128GB or 256GB. Besides being safe to use as an EX smartphone, the versions are excellent for intrinsically safe video or photo camera use with Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi connection.
