New from Atexxo Manufacturing, the Apple iPhone SE 3rd generation (2022) is now suitable for use in Zone 2 hazardous locations.
These explosion-proof iPhones are originally manufactured by Apple and then converted and certified according to the ATEX directives by Atexxo Manufacturing, making the mobile phones suitable for safe use in gas and vapour (Zone 2) hazardous locations.
ATEX Zone 2 is the European equivalent for US, NEC Class 1 Division 2 equipment. (C1D2).
Atexxo achieves compliance with ATEX / EX regulations by modifying the casing together an intrinsically safe electrical circuit, which makes the smartphones suitable for safe use in hazardous locations.
All features of the original iPhone product are preserved including the fingerprint scanner and all modifications are tested in the explosive atmosphere of a spark-test apparatus.
The ATEX iPhone SE comes with a rugged black case finish and is available for iPhone SE 64, 128, and 256 Gb versions. Besides safe use as a smartphone, the versions are excellent for use as intrinsically safe video or photo cameras with Wi-Fi connection.
For Middle East countries, versions with blocked cameras are available.
