The Dräger X-am Pump is an innovative accessory for Dräger X-am® 2500/2800 and X-am® 5000/5600/5800 gas detectors delivering unparalleled precision, versatility, and safety in confined space atmosphere analysis. Confined spaces present unique challenges for worker safety. Navigating these intricate environments often requires sophisticated equipment to assess potential hazards and ensure safe entry and egress.

Easy to Use

  1. Easily attach the pump to one of the following X-am gas monitors:
  2. Pumping starts automatically.
  3. The pump turns off automatically once it is removed from the device.
  4. Using an X-am gas monitor with the pump has no effect on measuring performance.

Charging via USB

A standard phone charger with a micro-USB lead can be used to charge the Drager Pump, (with a charge status indicated by LED on the pump) and takes approximately six hours.

Handy and robust

At 17.5cm, the Dräger X-am® Pump is easily manageable and weighs just 200g. It is also dust and water-resistant to the IP67 protection standards and performs reliably at temperatures as low as -40 °C.  The battery is solid cast, designed to protect against damage caused by dropping or sudden impacts.

The effective range of measuring results

Optimised for hoses with a diameter of 3mm, the X-am Pump can sample ambient atmospheres from up to 45m distances: E.g., Shafts, or tank systems.

The use of this pump in combination with a Drager X-am gas monitor ensures consistent and precise measuring results from a safe distance – even in the hardest-to-reach and extreme working environments.

Like its 5000, 5600 and 5800 gas detector counterparts, this X-am pump has an explosion protection approval for EX Zone 0, meaning it can be used safely in confined spaces.

Extended operating time

Perfect for long deployment, the Drager pump battery can last for three weeks at 8 measurements per day, or in other words, up to 20 hours of continuous use and the operating time can be evaluated using the CC-vision software.

Data Logging

Operating time, charge status, battery warnings and flow-alarm are displayed on the X-am and stored in the data logger making it possible to display the result of the clearance separately from the evaluations of personal monitoring.
