Description

MSA General Monitors S5000 Fixed Gas Detector

The MSA General Monitors S5000 Fixed Gas Detector is for extreme areas needing to detect oxygen, toxic and combustible gases. It operates over a wide temperature range using a variety of gas-sensing technologies. Breakthrough XCell® gas sensors with TruCal® technology extend calibration cycles up to 24 months.

TruCal* actively monitors the sensor integrity and compensates for environmental factors that cause regular electrochemical sensors to drift.

Key Features

  • Dual sensor capability doubles the sensing power with half of the footprint of a single gas transmitter.
  • SafeSwap enables the safe and quick replacement of XCell sensors without turning off the instrument.
  • Instrument status indicators illuminate power, fault and alarm conditions.
  • The S5000 has an intuitive user experience with an industry-first touch-button interface or familiar magnetic interface.
  • Identical footprint and wiring to the S4000 series, making retrofits simple using the existing conduit and wiring.
  • Cloud connectivity available with FieldServer ProtoAir FGFD Gateway.
  • * Available on H2S and CO digital sensors only.
