Teledyne DG7 Fixed Gas Detector
The DG7 Series is a range of intelligent gas detectors designed to support a wide variety of sensor technologies. Within the series, the DGi-TT7-E is used for monitoring toxic gases or oxygen levels, while the DG-TT7-S uses a solid-state metal oxide semiconductor sensor. The DG-TX7 model utilises a pair of OXYCOL catalytic sensors to provide reliable gas detection.
All DGi-TT7 detectors share the same housing and electronic platform, with the specific detection capability determined by the sensor cartridge installed. A broad selection of sensor cells is available, each of which is intrinsically safe. These sensor cartridges can also be replaced while the detector remains powered, helping to minimise system downtime and maintain continuous monitoring.
The detector is driven by an intelligent microprocessor and can be fully configured using a wireless handheld terminal (TLU) or through the wired HART communication option. This flexibility allows installers to configure the system easily while also reducing long-term servicing costs. Functions such as alarm levels and relay operations can be adjusted using the hazardous-area approved TLU.
The DG7 Series can be integrated with a wide range of control panels, controllers and PLC systems. An integrated, daylight-readable alphanumeric display provides clear local information on detector status and alarm conditions. Overall, the device has been designed with simplicity in mind, ensuring straightforward operation and easy maintenance.
